After a long talk with my veterinarian we decided it was best. He was not only in increasing amounts of pain, but he also dropped 50 pounds or so from the time the vet came out and disclosed his REAL age. The final straw was when he was losing his hair--not shedding, no. Hair was falling out in such big clumps that skin was showing.
I'll miss you very much, Acey. You were and still are a very special horse and I am glad to know you aren't in pain anymore.

In the meantime, I have decided to keep blogging, but I am going to make a new one to post in. It doesn't feel right posting in the Taco Horse's blog when he is no longer with me. I have decided to move to Spurs Aren't for Spurring, where I'll be talking about the cons of the western world and the fixes for them.
